In the last decade the power industry has seen a shift from public owned service utilities with long term strategies to privately owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) companies set-up purely for business purposes. This shift has enabled BWSC to propose and obtain a number of long term contracts providing comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for the IPP owner.
An O&M contract with BWSC is a long term contractual agreement, typically 10-15 years, whereby BWSC will operate and maintain the entire power plant with own O&M management and staff trained for this specific task. The BWSC home office will furthermore be able to provide a wide range of support in areas such as management, personnel systems and policies, safety and environmental management, etc.
The O&M contract will be provided at a fixed price covering management, staff, spare parts, and consumables - and will enjoy full back-up from the diesel engine manufacturer.
By entering an O&M contract with BWSC the investors’ assets are protected in the best possible way for the entire contract period.
Furthermore, key values such as reliability, availability, and performance data are guaranteed by BWSC throughout the contract period.
