In October 2004, BWSC signed a contract with the local utility company of Mauritius – Central Electricity Board (CEB) – for delivery of a 3 x 13.8 MW extension of the St. Louis Power Station in the vicinity of Port Louis.
The full turnkey power plant extension is based on 3 16V46 medium speed engines from Wärtsilä, and an overall delivery schedule of 15 months has been agreed with CEB.
BWSC is the turnkey contractor with Wärtsilä as nominated sub-supplier of diesel engines and alternators.
The new contract confirms the cooperation between CEB and BWSC, as both 2-stroke and 4-stroke power plants have been built for CEB on mainland Mauritius as well as in the island of Rodrigues.
